The First International Sakya Convention marked a historic gathering dedicated to exploring Sakya culture, tradition, and lineage in the light of new historical facts and contemporary challenges. Held in Bodhgaya, the convention brought together scholars, monks, community representatives, and researchers for focused sessions on Sakya history, Eastern Sakya communities, lived experiences across regions, and collective pathways for cultural preservation.
