The International Sakya Convention

The International Sakya Convention (ISC) is an annual interdisciplinary academic forum devoted to the scholarly study of the Sakyan lineage, examining its cultural, social, political, and historical foundations through rigorous and systematic research.

Recognizing the presence of Sakya communities across Eurasia, the convention seeks to foster renewed connections among these historically and geographically dispersed communities. By creating a shared scholarly and cultural platform, the International Sakya Convention aims to facilitate dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of knowledge across regions, strengthening intellectual and communal ties while situating Sakya studies within a broader trans-Eurasian context.
